As a poor and orphaned young man, J.R.R. Tolkien is placed in a boarding school when his mother dies. There, he finds friendship, love and artistic inspiration among a group of fellow outcasts. These experiences inspire him to write his world renowned novels ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’. 2019 biography directed by Dome Karukoski and starring: Nicholas Hoult, Lily Collins, Colm Meaney, Derek Jacobi.
